The motel overall is showing signs of its age, but we were happy with our stay. Lovely walk along the riverside into town (not too far, but far enough that you're away from the crowds). Rates are a bit steep, but Bright is super popular & so it's to be expected given the demand.“

„What a fantastic place to stay in Beechworth!! A lovely old hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, this place was incredible value. I only stayed one night but will definitely stay here again next time I visit Beechworth. The room was small but comfortable and it's very quiet despite being upstairs at a big pub. The bathrooms are outside the rooms and very clean. Highly recommend!“

Clean and comfortable beds and the heating is good (critical for a winter stay), but the pots/pans/stovetop in the kitchen needed better cleaning and towelrails were missing in the bathroom. Finding someone at reception was tricky too, and it would be good with a mobile number was on clear display at the front desk.“

„We arrived with other tenants from the 3 bedder (apartment B) in our 1 bedder room (apartment A). There wasn’t much an apology from the manager but her frustration towards the other tenants who made the mistake and her cleaners who probably left apartment A unlocked.
