I chose this property because it is listed as wheelchair accessible. My mom is disabled and requires a level entrance & exit, and the ability to get a wheel chair into a bathroom. The owner was super patient and accommodating with me - texting, sending pics, and video chatting. It was very helpful. There is a very steep, rail less, ramp in front of the unit, which I wouldn't recommend for a wheelchair, but there is a service road with a walkway that allows you level access to the unit. The master bathroom is accessible, but not ADA. You will need to bring your own shower & toilet chairs. It is also a little tricky getting into the bathroom to use the toilet with a chair, an awkward side transfer. I'm going to make a suggestion to the owner, and if she can/will make the change, it will alleviate some of this issue.
This is a great condo, with an awesome view, and down the trail (which is a bit steep), there is a private beach!! The condo was very comfortable, with a fireplace, lots of towels and a washer & dryer. The kitchen was sufficiently stocked. If you sleep warm, bring your own fan, because the bedroom windows look out on the walkway and there are no ceiling fans. It's on the north side of Brookings, which has lots of restaurant choices, or its a quick scenic drive up to Gold Beach through Boardman State Park. The owner responded quickly to all of my questions & issues. We loved this place, and hope to stay there again.
