THE SPACE: Welcome to the Bryson City Bungalow! Let's take a brief tour through this classic 1950's brick home in the Smokies... First of all, the house is so close to town on what's known as "schoolhouse hill" to locals. Quiet location but a 1/4 mile from town is the perfect fit! Our bungalow is a single level home, for the main house, with an additional apartment suite around back. Perfect for larger family groups to have their own space while visiting Bryson City, Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Deep Creek, Cherokee, the Nantahala Gorge; or any other notable landmarks in our outdoor adventurers paradise!
The living room has enough seating for 6-8 of your family members on comfortable furniture in a clean and inviting space. There is a Smart TV for pulling up your favorite streaming app to unwind from a day of hiking or to just relax on a rainy day. The home is tastefully decorated in a simple and clean manner with local art and interesting places. Be sure to check out some of the Horace Kephart books and interesting facts if you're interested in local history! The kitchen is fully stocked with all the basic cooking items you will need and Ingles Grocery is just around the corner! The dining space is small but functional; while there is also a washer and dryer for guests usage if needed.
The bedrooms are all spacious and each have closet space to hang your clothes. We have cooling gel memory foam bedding with medium firmness and shredded bamboo pillows; four on each bed. Our sheets are high thread count and we utilize triple sheeting techniques for a clean and crisp look while upholding high hospitality cleaning standards for our guests. The master bedroom suite is a very large space featuring a king size bed and ensuite bathroom. The bathroom is also very unique as it features a standard tub and shower combination as well as a a separate stall shower with a built in shower bench. There are grab rails by the toilet and shower; perfect for those with mobility issues. Each of the two guest bedrooms in the main house feature queen sized bedding. One of the guest bedrooms has a nice little office desk and tv/monitor for those possibly needing to catch up on a little work. Please note the fireplace you see in the photos for this room is not operational and cannot be used. There is also a nice sized guest bathroom in hallway featuring a standard toilet, vanity, and tub/shower combination. In summary, the main house features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
The apartment suite is around back along the paved walkway. It's a unique treat and rare find to have an additional bedroom space for family and friends. The apartment suite features a king sized bed, Smart TV, small closet space, small bathroom with a stall shower, and some kitchen amenities such as a coffee maker and refrigerator.
