Mit dem Ozean nur über eine halbe Meile entfernt über begehbare Sanddünen, könnte dieses hundefreundliche Mendicino Cottage nicht in einem besseren Ort sein. Bei Mackerricher State Park, suchen Robben und Otter von der Piste.

Sehen Sie Kabelfernsehen oder DVD, spielen Sie Brettspiele oder sitzen Sie ruhig am Kamin im Wohnzimmer. Kostenloses WLAN ist ebenfalls verfügbar.

The location was beautiful and the house was nice, except that it hasn't been maintained. The hearing doesn't work and it took 8 hours to get the house up to 60 degrees inside using the space heaters. The dishwasher works, but it's missing all the wheels on the lower rack. There is a hot tub, but it didn't work. The microwave trips the breaker when you use it. The clothes washer works, but the handle for the soap dispenser is broken. There is a long list of stuff just like that. Overall, we had a good time, but having everything be broken was disappointing. It was also pretty clean, but a few dishes in the cupboards were dirty. Not really a big deal, but it completes the picture. The bed were very comfortable, there was plenty of space, and there is a nice, fenced and grassy back area for the dog. The location is stellar, and the house is pretty inside. I would rent it again in a heart beat and consider it a steal if all the little broken things were fixed.

Property is well used but nicely maintained. Location was perfect for us; close to all beaches and parks, towns but far enough that we didn't have the hustle of tourists and traffic. I would stay again in a heartbeat. There's so much beauty and nature left to visit.

The property is as advertised. Nothing Fancy but clean with all the things you need. It could use a coat of paint, and some updated furniture which would go a long way in making it a bit more comfortable & inviting. It feels a bit like the guest house that time forgot, but again nothing wrong with the place just a bit tired & dated.

It was cute and clean had everything that we needed. I love the location walking distance to 10 mile beach. We stayed here to celebrate my boyfriend’s 40th birthday, we we’re excited that this was a pet friendly house and we got to bring our doodle. We enjoyed our evenings by the fire pit.

Perfect Private getaway
We loved our stay, there is a fenced backyard and a bonus private yard for guests who have dogs. It will be even better when the hot tub is back up and running. Fireplace works great, big kitchen, and bonus sunroom. Would love to rent again.

Cute and affordable.
This is a very cute and spacious getaway. It’s a little north of Fort Bragg so you have to plan unless you don’t mind driving back and forth. The home was clean and comfortable. Very quiet location. Great for kids and dogs. 6 adults would not sleep comfortably here. But excellent for a family. Concrete floors do bring slippers. Heaters provided made it very cozy. We planned accordingly for not cooking anything but bagels in the toaster oven. They are replacing the stove. The futons worked so I think they replaced those. Lots of bedding and towels provided. We loved it!

The ceiling fan was extremely dusty. Futon in main living area broke as hell. Dining chairs falling apart. The oven still does not work and now the burners don’t. It’s a great place if some money were invested I. The basics.

Not quite perfect
The location was just want we wanted, size of the house and property was perfect. Only complaints:1) the stove didn't work so we brought a gas BBQ to cook and used a 2 burner counter top warmer to cook other foods 2) The futon/couch in living room had a broken back support so it would fall back if you sat on one half of the couch and the seat had a big tear across it. If they fix these 2 problems I would give the Sand Dollar 5 stars.

Below expectations
First of all, the app didn’t provide lockbox code until way over an hour after check in time, but “fortunately” our arrival was delayed. On our arrival we found out stove top was not functioning, management failed to inform us prior to our booking and arrival. Closet and all storing compartments were dusty and dirty, we had to drive to the store and purchase cleaning supplies and clean that on our own. Some plates and spoons missing.. fortunately it was just the three of us but the house is listed for more guest than that. Management refunded us for “loss of amenities” (no cook top) and provided a hot plate but that hardly makes up for it. The neighbor’s dog kept coming in the yard to defecate/harass our family dog. On the morning of our departure the heater in the bathroom and the microwave mysteriously stopped working (no power) so there you go. Besides all that, cute house, awesome location.. I guess we just were not lucky, it wasn’t the first time we stayed at this house and we always had a great time.. we hope for better quality next time.

Nice, but fixes needed
This location is private, quiet and close to things we wanted to do. Here are some disappointments: There were ants 24/7, so we could not leave anything out when not being used. Some electric outlets in kitchen, especially near the stove did not work. Ice maker and trash compactor did not work. You have to light the stove burners with a fireplace striker-not terrible, but another fix-it for a top class rental. Batteries in the gas fireplace were dead, so we switched batteries back and forth from the TV remote. Light bulb out in bathroom, lamp in bedroom, right side, needs repair, mirror doors in bedroom closet slide off support tracks when handled, The living room couch/sofa is broken, so sitting on it was a pain-it needs replacement. The lemon tree at the front door needs to be removed. It inhibits entry and is too shaded, so it is covered with Sooty Mildew which gets on clothes as you brush by it. Some nice things to supply would be: Kleenex tissues, napkins and a dish drying rack-for small loads instead of the dishwasher. We travel with our dog, so we appreciated this house being pet friendly. It would be nice to have an area outside that is enclosed for the dog.

Love the place and it would be a 5 star if the owners would fix a few items, such as sofa/futon, heater/fireplace, ceiling fan and spa. One futon was totally broken, the other was unusably uncomfortable, but didn't really impact us as there were just two of us. For sure does not sleep six without air mattresses!

I was disappointed with property in that several things were not working, the kitchen was very poorly supplied, and I could not find a comfortable place to sit in the entire house. The hot tub did not work, the oven didn't work, the kitchen barely had enough plates and silverware for the two of us. With only one bed, I had expected something else to sleep on that was usable. Both futons were unusable. Since we didn't spend a lot of time in the house we were able to get by, but there is no way this place should be said to hold 6 people. There weren't enough chairs for 6 people and no way that six people could have slept there. You had to step up or down going from every single room into the next room. I felt this was an extremely dangerous situation. Most of the furniture was so low to the floor that it was very difficult getting into or out of them. We had no hot water for the last 3 days we were there and when I called the given number Vacasa I got a recording telling me to leave a message, but the voicemail box was full. All in all it was a very disappointing place to stay. I will admit that it was clean, but incredibly uncomfortable, and I could not recommend this place to anyone.

Good value for price
Good value for price in this area. Futon in the living room was broken on the left side - not a big deal but not the most comfortable to sit on while watching TV. We were disappointed when told the oven was out of order prior to arriving but pleasantly surprised that it did work - got up to 350 degrees. Really nice to have washer and dryer. Neighborhood was really quiet. Kids enjoyed sleeping on futon in back room. Vacasa was very communicative.

Perfect for our beach trip
Clean and as described. Easy commute to beaches and Fort Bragg. Cute and functional indoor and outdoor space. Kitchen was overall well equipped and a great size. Living room bed & main bedroom were very comfortable, we brought air mattresses for the kids in the back room (where previous reviews noted that the fold out was less comfortable). Small suggestion: for families it would be nice to have a few more small sized or plastic cups (there was mostly large glasses) and a couple more mugs (only 4). Overall we were very happy with our stay!

Overall, very nice stay. Loved the location. Just a short walk to sand dunes and wide open spaces. My kids could run and absolutely loved it. So beautiful. Large kitchen and extra warm fireplace. Loved the availability of a washer and dryer. Nice fire pit with wood provided. My only two negatives. The beds aren’t good. The main queen bed was fine for one night, but after the second night my husband and I both had very sore backs. The other two beds are fold out futons. Living room we didn’t use so not sure the comfort level as a bed. But as a couch it was comfortable. The back room futon was extremely uncomfortable for an adult, but fine for a child. There is no cell service, but WiFi is great and there is a house phone. Overall the stay was very nice and would recommend. I would just bring an air mattress if needed. When I booked, the listing advertised access to a hot tub, but when we arrived due to COVID it is not available for use. I called the property manager and they informed me that at the bottom of my confirmation email, scroll past everything at the end in fine print says the hot tub isn’t available. I see now the listing has been changed, but at the time of booking it was not changed.

Private and isolated. The house has the feel of a do it yourself project. Not bad, just kind of funky. Needs some attention: the interior racks of the dishwasher should be replace; the stove has limitation; there was no spatula in the kitchen (we had to buy our own); the toilet is extremely low flush. All in all we enjoyed our stay. Really liked the backyard fire pit. Loved sitting outside at night and viewing the stars. We don't see them where we live.

Inaccurate description- needs major appliance replacement
The oven doesn’t work above 350’, the oven door opens 1/3 of the way and when you go to open it far enough to reach into the oven for a hot pan you better hold tight because it will slam down on your toes ;the auto ignition on the stove tops don’t work( they did supply a butane lighter), two of the stove tops knobs were half melted and the second one from the right was broken - the bottom rack of the dishwasher didn’t seem to fit, at least it didn’t roll in and out easily and the front left wheel kept popping off. The flapper valve on the toilet doesn’t seat properly and I had to lift the lid and reseat it several times over the course of the 3 day stay. My wife and I stayed Friday nite thru Monday morning -if I had reserved it for a full week with family (as we were considering for next spring) we would have asked for a refund and moved to a hotel by Sunday morning.

Hot Tub was unuseable
We arrived and all looked well. That evening when we were going to used the hot tub we noticed that it had a lot of sand in it. We were unable to use it. I sent a message that evening and the reply said they were sorry. I sent another message a two days later. When I spoke to the property manager she asked why this is the first time she heard about the issue. So, I sent her a screen shot showing her that I sent a message the day we got there. Back and forth texting and calling took up time and due to the location we did not have cell phone service and that made it even more difficult. Was told someone would be out the following day, then told that they would have to drain hot tub and is an all day process. Was told that we would be returned the deposit for the hot tub and amount for inconvenience of not using the hot tub. It would of been nice to have this issue addressed sooner instead of the day before we were getting ready to leave. There were a few other thing but won't even go there.

We has a great time. The place was private and beautiful. However, the hot tub was very dirty, and the toilet backed up and was unusable our last day. There was not Internet or phone service, it Said there was a land line but the number was disconnected. It's the little things. Other than that it was very cute.

The place was really nice, but a few things could of been better. There was dirt and a used band-aid in the hot tub so we didn't use it The Futon in the "Sunroom" really needs a mattress pad They can easily repair or replace the oven.. Other than that its a really nice place, quite and cute.
