The space
The Space: The Honeycomb Hollow features a wonderfully finished, fully-furnished living room, bathroom, and bedroom. Kitchen has refrigerator, microwave, and ample countertop space while the bedroom boasts a queen size bed and an incredible view of the creek and neighboring mountains and farm animals. Heart pine floors and room galore. Rocking chairs on the porch provide a wonderful view of mountain sunrises and sunsets, gaze at the splendor of the mountains, meander around the property and creek, and go name a cow. In the heart of gem mining, canoeing, biking, this cabin nestled in the heart of the Nantahala Forest will become your favorite place away from home. Close to everything, you may choose to take a scenic hike on Appalachian Trail, eat a gourmet dinner at Highlands, journey from brewery to brewery, or just relax and stay home with someone you love. Rural setting away from the busy city but still close to civilization. Western Iotla Valley filled with pastures, creeks, and mountains (with some farm animals nearby). Two additional 1 bedroom/1 bath cabins (The Feathered Nest and The Butterfly Bungalow) next door available for bookings, so bring your friends and family for reunions or getaways.
Book early, as this this spots gets a loaded calendar fast with the gem shows and area events.
Please inquire regarding pets. We are very open to the possibility, with a small added pet fee ($50).
Guest access
There is a lockbox attached to the cabin next to the front door. After booking, the directions, lockbox code, internet password, will all be supplied via email along with specific check-in and check-out directions.
You will have the entire cabin to yourselves, no shared spaces other than the grounds. Private entrance and amenities.
Other things to note
Many activities close by, rafting, tubing, golf, sightseeing, antiques, museum’s, casino and scenic drives. Well, everywhere you drive around here is scenic.
We know these spots are small, meant for two, but if you'd like to invite another couple or two, remember, we have three little cabins available.
With advance notice we may be open to a pet (depending on size and type) with a nonrefundable pet fee. Please advise if you think you may be bringing a pet to make arrangements.
