We welcome you to experience a breathtaking unique mountain stay @ the GrizzPaw Lodge which is a beautifully crafted log home for the ultimate true mountain vacation experience.

The GrizzPaw offers everything you will need to relax and recharge after a long day enjoying what mountain life has to offer. The property includes an extra roomy private hot tub, wood burning fireplace, and absolutely stunning views. There is more than enough room here for the family, and friends to stay very comfortably.

THE SPACE

The GrizzPaw Lodge is located right on Kicking horse mountain resort and is surrounded by six of Canada’s most stunning national parks; Yoho, Glacier, Banff, Jasper, Kootenay and Mount Revelstoke.

The home is located only 100 meters away from the ski resort which makes for easy ski-in, ski-out access to the property. The resort has a groomed ski access trail that is located at the end of the street only 4 houses down from the GrizzPaw to access the groomed ski-in /ski-out trail.

Our 5-bedroom log home is fully equipped with everything you’ll need throughout your stay, and is a great place for couples, solo adventurers, families and large groups as it sleeps 14+ people with abundant space for everyone.

The GrizzPaw log home comes complete with a cozy log cabin feel, and a wide-open main floorplan that includes the kitchen, dining area, seating nook, and living room that is perfect for large groups and family gatherings, with lots of room for everyone. The best part is the open wood fireplace, and yes, we provide the firewood for you, for those cozy nights. There is also a large 8-person private outdoor hot tub with scenic views to relax in after a long day of adventuring or staying in.

The open concept chef’s kitchen is fully equipped with all of the major appliances, including a gas stove, pots, pans, and essentials you will need to keep your crew fueled up. You won’t need a single thing in the kitchen other than your groceries. It is fully stocked with coffee, tea, sugar, and large assortment of spices, oil, and other cooking basics for your convenience. We love to cook! which means our kitchen is well stocked with everything you'll need for preparation of a gourmet meal.

The open dining area adjacent to the kitchen, has a large farm style table with cozy seating up to 12 people, and another 4 stools located at the kitchen island to accommodate all your closest friends and family for big gatherings and special events.

The living room area is complete with one large sectional sofa, one large sofa, and adjacent to this is the two armchairs in a seating nook that is perfect for reading a book or being part of the party. You will find yourself spending your evenings cozying up in the living room with the wood fireplace going, playing games, watching a movies, or just enjoying each other’s company. The living room has a Smart TV that you can use to access your streaming services easily by logging into your own personal accounts. We also stock lots of board games, cards, and other various games for your entertainment. The home does have a TV sound bar system, and there is also another sound system that you can connect to via Bluetooth to enjoy music or a little dance party.

As you enter the garage that has access just off the living / dining room you’ll find the stacked firewood that is ready to enjoy for those cozy fires, and a gear area that is perfect for suiting up before heading to the lift! Alos there is ski and snowboard racks and heated air dryers to dry any wet gear from your daily adventures. You can also access this from the keypad on the exterior garage door so that removal and storage of gear at the end of the day is a breeze.

The house is a five-bedroom 3.5 bath and each room is very large so there is plenty of room for your personal items during your stay. You will never be cramped in any space while staying here. Sleeping arrangements is up to 14 (+2 people sofa bed, which is only good for kids). The home has a total of 4 King beds, 2 Queen beds, 2 single beds, and 1 sofa bed. The beds are also extremely comfortable and we provide only top-quality linens and bedding to make your stay extra cozy, as we know how important a good sleep is. Each room has its own thermostat so the guests can set the heat to their own comfort level. The upper bedrooms come complete with two outdoor patios access directly from the bedrooms to enjoy the mountain views, sun rise, and sun sets.

GUEST ACCESS
Guests have full access to the home, garage, and guests will be provided with a door code prior to arrival which includes the following;

Garage - Guests will be given a code to access the garage for storage of skis, golfing equipment, and other sporting storage goods.

-Parking - Guests have full access to park on the front property as marked out in the driveway (4-5 spots).
-Firewood – Firewood is provided in the garage
-Ski / Equipment Storage – Located in the garage
-Toboggans – Located in the garage
-Highchair for the little ones – Located in the garage
-Outdoors Large deck right off the kitchen and master complete with comfy outdoor seating.
-8 person hot tub located on the lower deck which has a nice private setting

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

An additional ID verification check, rental agreement and house rules will be sent after the reservation is made, and must be completed as part of the booking confirmation.

No smoking or disposing of cig butts on property, as this is a fire hazard.

Pets are allowed at the discretion of the host with an additional $200 fee, and the renter is to inform the host of any pets during their stay at the time of booking. Failure to disclose pets will cause the guest to be charged $300 dollars.

Your payment method may be charged if there are any damages caused by you or your guests during your stay.

If the property is left in a disrespectful manner where dishes are not completed, garbage and outdoor areas are not left in the order in which they were found, you may be charged for additional deep cleaning services.

Please be aware that community bylaws require quiet time after 11 pm, violations will incur a $500 fine.

There is also no parking on the street however the property has parking on the driveway for 4-5 vehicles. Fines to the renter or towing may result from cars parked on the roadway especially in winter months.

This place checked all the boxes. Absolutely wonderful. All amenities were there. House able to accommodate our group of 15 without any problems. The kitchen was beyond fully stocked; seasonings, pots, extra settings and much more. Enough seating for everyone. Beds were comfortable. Garage was great for ski equipment, even had 3 boot warmers. Decks looking out to gorgeous scenery. Owner accommodating to our requests. Hot tub big. I do not have one negative thing to say. We will be back again.
