„Die Unterkunft ist wie man sich ein typisch hawaiianisches Hotel vorstellt. Etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber sehr sauber. So wie wir gesehen haben, renovieren sie laufend Zimmer. Sehr schöner wilder Garten, in welchem man sich gerne aufhält. Sehr freundliches Personal. Einfaches Frühstück. Obwohl es ein Nichtraucherhotel ist, hat es ein Plätzchen im Garten wo geraucht werden darf. “

„We had a good stay at Magic Skies. The property seemed to have a nice atmosphere with the different spaces and room themes though there were some areas undergoing maintenance at the time of our stay. We didn’t end up having the breakfast service offered but it seemed reasonable. Though overall was an enjoyable stay with a good location.“

„We had the best time at Hamakua hotel. First, the manager was very accomodating and generous. The room was beautiful, big, clean, with big windows - so relaxing. And we had the chance to attend the surprise dinner on tuesday night. It was unbelievable. Truly, one of the best dinners in my life. We were amazed and so grateful. The Hamakua hotel is a pricey place to stay, but for the experience that we had, it was all worth it. Beyond expectations. We truly recommend it!“

„Beautiful house from the mid-1930’s filled with wonderful artifacts and Hawaiiana. Nice kitchen area for in home cooking - pots pans rice cooker etc- Comfynooks for relaxing- great wrap around deck with lounge chairs and a dining table! The garden is lush and creative. There are many cocqui frogs at night so if that bothers you, there is even ears plugs! Our only negative was that due to a plumbing issue my husband could not soak in the tub (for his degenerative disk) altho the shower worked ...
