Diese Luxus-Hütte bekannt als "White Rapids Retreat" befindet sich auf der Buck Shoals wunderschönen weiten Strecke des Chattahoochee River in der Nähe von Helen, und ist alles andere als gewöhnlich. Entspannen Sie sich und schlafen Sie zu den Klängen der rauschenden Stromschnellen nur 50 Meter von der Hütte entfernt und genießen Sie die Panorama-Aussicht auf den Fluss, während Sie im Whirlpool entspannen. Kostenlose Kajaks sind im Preis enthalten, so dass Sie ein Abenteuer auf dem Fluss genießen können!
Dieser einzigartige Flussabschnitt direkt hinter der Hütte ist Ihr eigener privater Wasser-Vergnügungspark: Genießen Sie Schwimmen, Sonnen und Entspannen auf der Sandbank in der Mitte des Flusses, Tubing / Kajak / Rafting hinter der Hütte, spielen auf den natürlichen Felsen Wasserrutschen und Erkundung der Rock Shoals des Flusses. Die Fischerei ist ausgezeichnet hinter der Kabine für Untiefe Bass, gestreifter Bass, Wels und Brassen.
Die Kinder werden gerne auf Bäume klettern und auf der Reifenschaukel auf dem Grundstück spielen. Ihr Stress wird schmelzen, wenn Sie sich in der Hängematte am Fluss vergnügen. Die abgeschirmte Veranda mit Blick auf den Fluss und verfügt über Sat-TV, so dass Vater nichts von dem Fußballspiel verpassen wird. Flachbild-HD-Fernseher mit Directv-Receiver verfügen über Smart-TV-Roku, so dass Sie sich in Ihr Netflix-Konto einloggen und Filme und Wein am Kamin im Wohnzimmer genießen können. End of Summer Vacation
My family of 4 and our 2 dogs had a wonderful time. We enjoyed fishing, swimming, and going into town. The house is beautiful and accommodating, but we spent the majority of the time outdoors and on the screen porch.

We were first here in early 2023 and that visit was great. But our return visit this year was far from spectacular. First the ice maker wasn't working and on such 85 degree days it was much needed. The owner responded quickly and sent the cleaner over to fix,6 hrs later it still didn't work so the owner said go to a gas station miles away and buy a bag of ice.This was an inconvenience since we just came back from the supermarket. Next, we decided to do a load of laundry and discovered the washer didn't drain, leaving all our items soaking wet, we had to wring them out in the sink before putting in dryer. We wiped the floor in the kitchen and the paper towel came up filthy and black. The screen in the br was hanging off, the decking material was old and weathered and the hot tub was dirty. All in all the visit was ok. we understand its a mountain cabin and some of this is expected. The screened in porch is great and the proximity to river can't be beat. beware, the driveway is very steep and narrow.

Serene & off the beaten path
Home is as advertised! Complete serenity is here. Only natural sounds can be heard; just secadas & the Chattahoochee River located at the foot of the property. So appreciative of being able to bring my dog. Clean & pest free home in the middle of the woods. We strolled the property, enjoyed river views & relaxed in the hot tub.

Delightful Retreat at the "White Rapids Retreat"
We took my 90 year old mother-in-law on vacation to NE GA. I selected this property due to its location and being located on the bank of the Chattahoochee River. The "White Rapids Retreat" was a true serendipity. We couldn't get over how a delightful place this was. My husband and I usually camp in NE GA in our small 22 ft motorhome. This is the first time in many years that we have stayed somewhere other than a campground. What a delight this place is. The house is spectacular. The wood interior and the old-fashioned decorations were amazing. The master bedroom and the upstairs bedroom were very nice and comfortable. We liked being able to walk out on our own deck from our second-floor bedroom. My mother-in-law was in awe of her room, the master bedroom. We enjoyed sitting on the deck drinking our coffee each morning and looking out at the beautiful Chattahoochee River. The chairs next to the river were nice; and we used them daily in the afternoon after we returned from our daytrips. We met the owner Rob one afternoon, and he was very nice. I have nothing negative to say about the "White Rapids Retreat" as we loved it. we would love to go again. Thank you Rob.

We chose the location for a girls trip. The views of the water were exceptional. We wish there was easier water access, like a couple of steps in and out of the water but we managed just fine. The kitchen was stocked and worked well for all our meals. And we loved the proximity of Helen. A couple of things could have been better but all in all we enjoyed our stay.

Overall this cabin was a great place to stay for a week. Beautiful water front and great swimming hole. Plenty of space and amenities. There were tubes already aired up to be used and kayaks were available.

Beautiful spot on the river, already booked it for next year! The house is very nice, no issues with cleaning; kitchen is well supplied and had all we needed. Great views of the river from all rooms, setting is amazing!! There were tubes available for playing in the river, but watch out for those slippery rocks! Some negatives but nothing to lower the rating of this place and owner - bring a bag of ice as Samsung fridges are notoriously slow ice producers. Towels were on the thin side, 1 star quality in a 4 star setting BUT understandable if there is a problem of them being taken outside. Screen porch is great, but has biggish spiderwebs in corners. Outside deck areas are really nice but understandably have tree debris- would be nice to have an outside broom/blower for guest to use. Hot tub setting is PERFECT for watching river activity but needs some TLC - has some wear and tear and hadn’t been cleaned from prior users, some jets not working. Under deck storage area a bit of a mess, tubes sitting full of rain water (mosquito breeding area!) maybe a rack to keep them organized and off the ground?

Wonderful, Private River House
My husband and I enjoyed a getaway at this property. The property had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. It was exceptionally clean and had indoor/outdoor games and outdoor activities (fire pit, floats, hot tub, horseshoes, etc.) for us to enjoy during our stay. The home and property felt very private and made for an enjoyable visit. we look forward to making a return trip in the future. This property was perfect for a couple, or a family to enjoy.

Total Serenity
The view is AMAZING. Private, off the beaten path but close to anything you’ll need. The cabin was furnished with everything you’ll need for your stay plus fun activities. The River was an adventure and you can walk up, down and across ( just mind your footing). Helen and Cornelia were short easy drives. One for tourism the other for necessities. The beds are comfortable. The cabin was spacious. The Cherry on top was the screened in porch which is where we spent most of our “inside” time watching tv which was minimal. Chairs riverside is where we were mostly when not in the river itself! The fireflies showed up nightly for a light show. Too many great things to say. Summary: PERFECTION ON THE CHATAHOOCHI

Amazing Get-Away
The only negative I have is that I wasn't able to stay longer. The cabin has everything you need. A primary on the main and another primary upstairs along with bunkbeds for 3. The cabin was spotless and stocked with anything you'd need to make amazing meals. The river is huge and kept the kids entertained all day long, hopping rocks, fishing, exploring and then chilling in the hot tub. The property is gorgeous, a huge firepit right next to the water, a hammock on one side and some hidden chairs on the other. It even has a little waterfall. My two dogs were in heaven. I can't wait to go back, it was truly perfect.

Beautiful place and view of the river. Well equipped was disappointed in the area under the porch. Was a total mess. Needs to have fans and out of reach areas dusted better. Recommend a floor lamp in dining area to see better when eating/playing cards. I would definitely consider coming back in the summer months to enjoy the river more thank u

Relaxing Weekend Getaway
Property was clean and in good condition when we arrived. Everything was as pictured in the listing. Loved having the sound of the river throughout our stay. Bed was super comfortable and the view of the river when waking up was very nice. We used the hot tub and grill and everything was great. Would suggest more comfortable porch furniture but we added pillows and enjoyed board games and reading during the day which was lovely.
