Elegantes Blockhaus am Mainsee - Ponton, Kajaks, Pizzaofen

"The Lodge at Lake Gaston" ist ein wunderschönes Haus im Blockhausstil mit Blick auf eine Million Dollar. Haus mit 4 Schlafzimmern und Loft am Ufer des Hauptsees Gaston in der Nähe des Eingangs zum Pea Hill Creek. Lake Gaston liegt direkt an der Staatsgrenze von NC / VA und wurde vor kurzem von BuzzFeed und seinen Lesern zur Nummer 1 im Bereich der Seen in den USA erklärt.

Großes Doppelboothaus mit Wendeltreppe zum Sonnendeck (früher Hubschrauberlandeplatz!). Das Bootshaus bietet viele Liegestühle, einen Abstellraum (mit Barfenster), eine Musikanlage und eine Wasserrutsche. Große Ufergegend (Schott) mit tiefem Wasser (5-6 Fuß). Der leicht abfallende Hof hat eine große Steinfeuergrube und einen Pizzaofen. Wir haben auch einen Weber-Gasgrill und einen Raucher (beide an Propangas im Zentralhaus angeschlossen).

Dieses Haus hat einen offenen Grundriss; Kombination aus Küche, Wohn- und Esszimmer, Kamin und 2 Master-Suiten sowie WC und Waschküche auf der Hauptebene. Französisch Türen vom Wohnzimmer und Schlafzimmer öffnen sich zu großen überdachten Veranda mit herrlichem Blick auf den Lake Gaston & Bootshaus. Offener Loft-Bereich im Obergeschoss mit Blick auf den Wohnbereich und Seeblick, zusätzliches Schlafzimmer (ohne Fenster) im Obergeschoss.

Gehen Sie die Treppe hinunter, um den Erholungsbereich mit Bar, Granit-Arbeitsplatten, altmodischen Arcade-Spielen, Tornado-Tischfußball, Tischtennis und TV / Surround-Sound zu genießen. Übergroßes Schlafzimmer mit zwei Etagenbetten (beide überfüllt mit zwei Einzelbetten) ist perfekt für viele Kinder oder eine ganze Familie.

Das Pontonboot meines Schwagers liegt am Haus und kann bei ihm gemietet werden (wöchentlich oder täglich). Wenn Sie sich für den Ponton interessieren, kann ich Sie direkt mit ihm in Verbindung setzen. In der Umgebung gibt es auch mehrere Yachthäfen, in denen Boote und Wasserski gemietet werden.

Wir haben ein Paddelboot und Kajaks (1 Tandem-Kajak für Erwachsene und 2 Kajaks für Jugendliche / kleine Erwachsene), die den Mietern zur Verfügung stehen (ohne Aufpreis).

Das Haus ist praktisch für alle Boots- und Einkaufsbedürfnisse. Am Hauptsee, aber auch in der Nähe der ruhigeren Buchten von Pea Hill Creek. 5 Minuten vom Lebensmittelgeschäft Food Lion, Dollar General und Ace Hardware entfernt.

Great stay
Great communication with owner and great amenities and extras made this place a wonderful vacation spot. Everything is well labeled, directions on everything was clear, and the house was clean and perfectly laid out. We loved relaxing at the boathouse and using the canoe and paddle board. The hammock chairs were amazing and we had plenty of chairs and space for everyone. The grill was great and we spent each night hanging out on the back deck. We’ll definitely be back!

The Lodge was exactly as advertised. It was very well stocked and very well organized. The labeling and information was excellent. The interior was so comfortable and accommodations were excellent. The log beds on the main floor were a true work of art. The privacy of the accommodations from one floor to the next was incredible. We would rent this property again, for family and friends of all ages, without any hesitation.

Girlfriends get away
Great house for us! Kitchen is well stocked, very nice bed linens and pillows, beds are very comfortable, great seating both inside and outside. We enjoyed watching the stunning sunrises from the porch, and relaxing on the boat dock. Had a fun fire pit evening, and were able to take out the double person kayak for a short jaunt around the lake. So many fun things to do both inside and outside the house. Something that I did not see in the description of the house or the pictures was the dinning table which was a very nice table with seating for at least 10. Very easy access to the driveway from River Rd, however there is a little noise from the traffic on River Rd that can be heard only when outside. Would definitely come back!

Property and house are neat and clean and very comfortable for all ages. Lots of places to gather or go off and read. Boat dock is well equipped and fishing/swimming is good. Our only concern was the traffic noise-not use to being so close to a main heavy traveled road. Had a super vacation.

Great house
This was our fifth time staying at Lake Gaston and this was the best house. The owners thought of everything. We have no complaints at all! The pizza oven was a cherry on the cake. The large drink cooler on the dock was a big hit with the adults. We didn’t have to buy ice once. I highly recommend staying at this house, you won’t be disappointed!

5 Star Experience
So much to say about this beautiful home right on the shores of Lake Gaston. Let's start with the location, tucked just off the main lake, the dock is protected, mostly calm and very safe for floating in the water with your friends. And the views from the house and the dock are just open water. The most relaxing expanse of water you could hope for. The dock is also nicely spaced from the neighbors, so you feel a since of privacy, which we really enjoyed. If you rent a boat, the gas dock is literally a 5 minute slow ride away. Nothing could be more convenient. And the house is exactly as advertised. Very log-cabin-ish. With every item in the kitchen that you need for cooking delicious home cooked meals, sharing them either at the large dining room table or on the wrap around porch just beyond the living room. Beds were extremely comfortable, and the attention to detail for renters was the best we have ever experienced. Every light switch, shelf and utility labeled perfectly - so never any issues with operating appliances, lights or where to return things when done. This made the experience feel more welcoming and less stressful than rental houses can sometimes be. Additionally, Lisa was incredibly informative. Responded quickly to any inquiries, even though, once we got there, we didn't have a care in the world. Instructions for arrival/departure were very clear and not at all cumbersome. It was a 5 star experience, house and lake! Would rent again for sure!

We have stayed at several VRBO's on Lake Gaston and this one is soooooooo nice!! The house is beautiful! It is nicely decorated and has a well supplied kitchen! All six teenagers loved the down stairs! It was nice to be able to rent the pontoon and not have to go to the marina! We will be back!

Great Home in Lake Gaston!
Home was well equipped, easy to get to, and convenient to the nearby public boat launch for our boat. We appreciated the many activities that were included, and used them all! Had a great time using the paddle boat, kayak, stand-up paddle board, slide, ping-pong table, fire pit, and pizza oven. Our entire family felt very comfortable in the home, and the owner was easy to contact with any questions we had. We will definitely be back again!

Amazing property. Perfect location on the lake, tranquil views. Perfect place to relax and unwind. Our entire family had a wonderful time. Our kids, ranging from teenagers to 6 years old had a blast. A little piece of heaven
This is our third time staying here and we love it here. So peaceful and beautiful relaxing by the lake. The house set up is great for a large family. We love to sit on the porch or the deck and look out at the lake. We also love using the firepit at night. I am sure we will be back again when we are looking for some family R&R.

Annual Family Fall Retreat
Upon arrival, Wow! The house and the grounds were better than advertised. The kitchen, dining and family area is the nucleus of the home and provided a wonderful place for our family to gather when we weren't at the boat house....The boat house is what "Lake Life" is all about. It has everything you need to be active or just chill. There is also a pontoon boat available for rental (which we did) to provide access to beautiful Lake Gaston. The owners have everything prepared, labeled and organized to help your stay be the best. She was always available when needed. We are already planning for next year. Air Force buddies reunite, with visiting time for the ladies.
Wonderful place! We and our guests had a great time, and loved everything about our experience! (we’re all in the senior citizen age range) The boathouse and dock were a bonus feature, with water fun equipment, sunning area, and a shady area to relax by the water. We opted to rent the available pontoon boat, and enjoyed 2 partial days of relaxed boating, floating, and even some fishing. Everything was fantastic!
