Society Hill always a pleasure
We’ve stayed numerous locations in Jerome/cottonwood over the years, this newly renovated house on society hill is worth a visit.As others have mentioned there is only access up three flights of stairs and a wooden plank walkway - I don’t recommend in the dark if you haven’t done this before. That being said, the house was clean, comfortable and had perfect Climate control (a/c and heating). The kitchen served us well for light meals, coffee and what not.Thank you, would recommend for a very comfortable quiet and peaceful stay.

I couldn’t sign into vrbo
Because I recently got a new a new phone I needed to redownload the Vrbo app. At my location it said it would take 25 mins to download the app just to get the door code. The owner didn’t feel comfortable giving it to my friend who was not a registered guest even through she was staying there. So I took a bit of time getting in the home. Other than that it was nice. The floor was a bit slanted but definitely a really Jerome experience.

DESIREE

The house itself is cute and mostly well maintained. There is no on-site parking as advertised. There is a badly maintained gravel parking lot not safe for cars low to the ground to drive through down the hill from the main road, then you have to walk up another hill to a a three story staircase that is falling apart and has chunks missing from it. Then you have to walk four houses down on a poorly lite and badly maintained boardwalk that is partially under constrction. There was no communication about how far the parking was or about the construction on the walkway. I had to ask twice for directions to the house from the main road and for the key code to get in because they were never sent. The AC units are old and do not keep the entire house cool. The tub is about 2 feet off of the ground and you need a stool to get into it. The dangerous trek to get your belongings to the house is not work the price. It is more convenient to get a hotel room close by and just drive up to Jerome. Thank goodness the locals and events around town are always worth the trip to Jerome!

No Direct Access By Car
I will start by saying the house is adorable, quaint, clean, and has comfortable beds. The reason for my dings in the survey is due to the home's access. IT NEEDS TO BE CLEAR IN THE LISTING THAT THERE IS NO ACCESS BY CAR!!! You park in a gravel lot a couple blocks away. You have to drag/carry your luggage up a rather steep gravel hill out of the lot, cross the road, go down an alley, go up several flights of stairs that are not in great shape, and then drag the luggage across the very rickety "boardwalk". Luckily, my friend and I are in relatively good shape so with some huffing and puffing we made it to the house. But if you have any sort of foot, leg, hip injury or don't have the strength to carry your luggage, there is literally no other way to get to the house. Again, once you get to the house it is everything that the listing portrays. Although, there is a Keurig machine but no pods, and ground coffee but no coffee maker. Also, just to note, the amazing claw-footed bathtub-turned-shower is VERY high off the floor. We did notice a step-stool under the sink on our last day that we should have used, as it was very tricky getting in and out of the shower. Finally, there were no instructions on how to leave the house so we stripped our sheets and emptied our trash and washed our dishes and piled our towels, as we weren't sure what was expected.

Disappointing
Hi, This is a charming getaway, in a great location. Upon arrival we noticed there was no beding on the bed, the tub was full of dirty laundry, and the trash can in the kitchen was full. I found sheets in a dresser in the bedroom to make the bed, no big deal. Unfortunately, all of the bathroom towels were dirty, and in the tub. We had to dry off using our clothes. In order to take a shower we had to remove the dirty laundry. I expessed everything to the host including pictures. I was thanked for the pictures, and told I should have called upon arrival. I suppose I should have looking back at it, but we were late for a dinner party.

Will stay again
We couldn’t make access the nights we reserved but we are interested in staying another time. Had a communication glitch with the owner but she took care of us and offered a free stay in the future. Property looked just as adorable in person from the outside as was showed online. We didn’t receive our access code in time so had to make other accommodations. Looking forward to coming back one day.

Love Jerome!!
I love visiting Jerome. The home was very clean and taken care of. The property was well kept outside too. My toddler loved the side yard. Only issue we had was the boardwalk and the stairs. The boardwalk really could use repairs as well as the stairs from Magnolia to the Boardwalk. They are dry rotted and dangerous at places. You have to park in the church parking lot and carry everything to the residence!!! You can walk up the concrete stairs behind the Cornish Pasties but be careful… the concrete is starting to crack and needs repaired. So do not take a lot!! Since I knew the area I drove up Magnolia and unloaded there…the resident at the top was very nice and understanding since I had a toddler with me. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

What an amazing house! It is so light and welcoming when you arrive - like a hug from an old friend. Slept like a baby! Everything you want to see in Jerome is within walking distance. Don’t pass this place up!

Staycation
Amazing romantic house, love all the outside sitting. For a short stay it is equipped with a good amount of kitchen gear, but for long stays I could get see you needing more. Beautiful location and home it way comfy and luxurious. Parking was a bit hard tho.
