London Townhouse in Excellent Central Location

A three double bedroom terraced house, in the residential neighbourhood of Kennington. Open plan ground floor with living room, kitchen and dining area and three double bedrooms upstairs, one en-suite and two with a shared bathroom. Walking distance to central London's famous attractions and with excellent transport links to the rest of the city.

House Layout:

Ground Floor

Open plan living, kitchen and dining area. Fully equipped kitchen with essential cooking utensils, microwave, dishwasher, oven, kettle and toaster. The living room has a TV with a built-in DVD player and connects to on-demand streaming services through a Roku stick.

First Floor

Master bedroom with king size double bed, large wardrobe, and en-suite shower room. Main bathroom serving the second floor bedrooms.

Second Floor

Two further double bedrooms, one king size, one standard double, both with wardrobes. The larger room has its own wash basin. A washer-dryer is also located on this floor.

Getting Around:

The house has excellent public transport links, served by the London Underground at Vauxhall (Victoria Line) and Kennington (Northern Line) both under 10 minutes walk away. Extensive bus services also run from Vauxhall Bus Station and Kennington Cross. There are local 'Boris Bike' stands on Vauxhall Street and at Kennington Cross. River boats depart from St George's Wharf.

Unfortunately the house does not have a dedicated parking space but there is on-street parking at Montford Place.

Please note the listing is heavily discounted due to a large construction site next to the house. Please see the photo. This only operates from 8am to 5pm, when you should be out exploring London! During the day time there will be construction noise.

There are residents in the flat below the Airbnb, please be considerate to them particularly between 11pm and 7am.

We really liked the accommodation. The description fits very well. You can reach the underground station Vauxhall and Oval very comfortably in 7 minutes. There are a Tesco supermarket and various take aways or restaurants.

We stayed 5 nights at the house. Overall we had a nice stay and the space/rooms were great for our family. I was a little disappointed at the dirtiness of the front yard when you came through the gate, and the couch was definitely not something I wanted to sit on. We attempted to do laundry but couldn’t ever get the drying feature to work even with finding a manual online and attempting to get guidance from home owner. It would be helpful to have written directions somewhere for future guests. The house overall could probably use a freshen up because the space itself is ideal for a family.

The location was great outside of the downtown madness. The two tube stops gave you great access to all attractions. Never heard any of the construction. Grocery store half block away was great as well. Thanks for the stay.

Great stay at a great townhouse!
We traveled from Oregon to London for Spring Break (me, husband and 3 teens) . The owner was very transparent about construction going on next door, which it was but we were out of the place early every day so it didn't really impact us. The townhouse was very much as stated in the VRBO description. We had a couple of issues with things like the dishwasher, but the host was very responsive and even came over 1 evening to help us out. He was really nice and helped to make our trip even better. There is a supermarket 1/2 block away, which was really convenient. For US travelers: We were surprised that there weren't hand towels or washcloths in the bathrooms. Apparently this is normal for England. Also, King-size beds seem to be smaller than in the States.

Very nice house in London. It’s perfect for a larger group. It was clean and comfortable and Nick was easy to communicate with and very responsive. It’s close to several metro stations and a bus stop for easy travel around the city. Highly recommended.

Great location
A great place for a girls trip conveniently located to 3 different underground terminals. The sink in the upper bedroom was super helpful but the lighting wasn’t great in that mirror. I would definitely recommend to others and come back. Didn’t hear any construction noise. The Tesco grocery store right next door was an additional bonus.

10 min walk to tube stations and there was a neighborhood pub 1/2 block away. Beefeater gin distillery around the corner and a grocery store across the street. Neighborhood was good. There is construction of a complex next door but that was during the day.

When we arrived, the condition of the fence and courtyard gave us pause, but once we were inside, the townhouse was cute, cozy and clean! The location was great. Transportation was available nearby and the area itself had restaurants, pubs, groceries, and anything else you’d want.

Very convenient to transportation, nice inside and comfy. Our adult family enjoyed the location. One minor issue with drains was immediatly cleared up by owner. Full kitchen was appreciated and used. Quiet neighborhood for the most part. Would recommend to anyone.

Large flat was perfect for our family with 4 teens
This 3 story flat was plenty of room with a large family room and kitchen. Kitchen had everything we needed. Two updated bathrooms helped getting ready easier but one drained slowly. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of wardrobe storage. Watched a movie on the Roku preset for us to use (HDMI2). We were a bit warm but are used to AC in the summer. The portable fan helped. We used both Vauxhall and Kennington tube stops no problem. Loved Tesco next door and the Pilgrim Pub a few doors down. Walked for coffee each morning too.

Several tube stations within 8-9 minute walk, plenty of space amount the three floors. The combo washer/dryer will get the wash 83.7% dry, there are racks around a the house to help it the rest of the way.

La maison correspond à l'annonce. Quartier pratique. Nous sommes contents de cette location malgré des défauts à corriger pour les prochains hôtes : Extérieur négligé, pas de sèche cheveux et de grande casserole pour des pâtes pour 4... La réponse à ma question sur le sujet : allez en acheter une, on vous remboursera) La couette du haut est carrément moisie. Les oreillers très minces... Le canapé est très moelleux et confortable mais sale et malodorant, petit coussin complètement déchiré. Seulement 4 petites assiettes. Mais sinon, la maison est jolie et agréable (avec des bouchons d'oreilles car sur la rue) les transports proches, le supermarché à côté. Belle salle de bains aussi. Merci.

Great location!!
A great place to start and end your daily London adventures. Everything you need plus more. The large tub was a plus after walking throughout London. The Tesco next door was a bonus as well. 2 different Tube stations within a short walk as well as pubs and shops. The White Bear was a favorite for Sunday Roast while The Pilgrim was steps away. Would definitely return on our next trip across the pond. The construction that was currently going on during our stay was hardly noticed. Only downside was having to go up 3 flights of stairs for 2 of the bedrooms, which was nothing more than a few extra steps after all the walking we did.

Good Family vacation
The house was within walking distance of good pubs and a Tesco store. It was also close enough to walk to the river which we did a couple times. The house was comfortable for our family and the construction didn't bother us at all. There was a little delay in getting the check-in instructions but no big deal. I'd also recommend some extra pillows but not a big issue. We enjoyed our time and would recommend.
