Location is everything, and this new construction (June 2021 completion) bay view home is the perfect retreat for an extended family vacation.
The home features a 2,500sf open layout plus an incredible 1,300sf of functional deck space. From the front of the house you can watch the sunrise over the bay as the Lewes Ferry passes or dolphins frolic in the morning surf, and from the back decks you can enjoy the sunset overlooking the Prime Hook nature preserve. Look to the south from the rear deck and you can see the Lewes windmill which is only 3 miles away!
You can sit on the front deck and enjoy the water views and wildlife, and access to miles of secluded beach is steps from your front door. You also have the option of driving on the beach and parking for the day in view of your house, and even spending the evening on the beach where bonfires are permitted.
The house features an inverted floorplan to take full advantage of water views in all directions. The top floor features an open layout with a dining and living room with 11’ ceilings. If the weather is cool there is a gas fireplace sitting below a 65” UHD TV. A fully appointed kitchen with granite counters has everything you need to cook any meal and place settings for 12 people. If you prefer grilling a Weber grill is connected to the house gas line. The dining table has 8 chairs with the option to add more, and there is additional bench seating for 4 at the kitchen island. The area has large sliding doors that take you outside to your main screened deck that has a Polywood dining table with 6 chairs plus an extra Polywood bench that can be pulled up to seat 10, and a separate 8-person lounge area featuring Polywood Adirondack chairs. Finally, to the back of the upper floor is a master bedroom suite that features a king bed, private deck, and private bath with quartz countertop with tile shower. This is the only deck in the house without a roof and has access to full afternoon sun, so Polywood lounge chairs will welcome the guests that prefers to leave the beach early.
Walk downstairs to floor 1 and you will find 3 additional bedrooms. First you will find a second master suite that features a second king bed. Attached is a private workspace with a desk that has a large window with spectacular bay views – good luck getting your work done! The room features a private bathroom with quartz counters and a tile shower. Down the hall you will find 2 bedrooms facing the nature preserve and have a shared deck and bathroom. The first bedroom has a queen bed and the second has 2-twin over full bunk beds that is a kid-paradise and can accommodate 6 little-ones! Each bedroom will have a wall mounted UHD Smart TV (43"-50" depending on room size) with WiFi connection to access any of your streaming apps, and the Living Room TV will also have YouTube TV for cable and local TV channels. Finally, you have a full washer and dryer located on this floor to handle any of your laundry needs.
Step outside and you have a driveway that can accommodate 4 cars, a locked storage area where you have access to 6 Tommy Bahama Beach Chairs, a beach umbrella, a beach cart to make your walk in the sand easier, a single-person kayak, and a male and female beach cruiser bike. When you come back from the beach you won’t have to wait for the shower – there are 2 outdoor showers to wash the sand off!
Sleeps 12 very comfortably (maximum 8 adults, and 12 guests assume at least 6 children that share the large bunk room that has 2 twin-over-full bunk beds).
Our home is directly across from the bay on the secluded Broadkill Beach. It is a very quiet location relative to other area beaches, yet only 10 mins from Milton, 15 mins to Lewes, and 25 mins to Rehoboth beach where you will find world class dining, outlet shopping, boardwalk, waterpark, golf, and multiple micro-breweries including Dogfish.
Please note that linens and towels are not included, although we can provide rental options upon request. There are pillows and blankets in the closets for all beds.
No parties or large gatherings are allowed.
Maximum occupancy at any time is 12 (8 adults).
Primary renter must be over 25 years and one of the occupants.
This is a no-smoking property.
While we love pets, pets are not permitted at this property.
