„What a beautiful cottage! We loved having breakfast on the terrace and enjoying the nice view of the flowers and the sheep and to the mountains. The super nice hosts are your neighbors. It is a very private place. The cottage was super clean and has a lot of atmosphere, just wonderful. It was spotless, the beds so comfortable, the kitchen so well equipped.We would definitely stay again if our paths lead us to this part of the world again. Thank you so much, Corinne & Stefan! We hope to be back ...

„I really enjoy this cottage....it is clearly loved, and has survived since 1905..through earthquakes etc. It has a wonderful history, is totally private..and is like a quaint country cottage, in the middle of the city. It has all the facilities you might need. Plus an outside bath....fabulous!“

„Thank you! Beautiful estate and grounds. The Granary is lovely. This was an overnight stay and we arrived late in the day, so did not explore. I do wish the initial instructions included the need to clean before we left and we would have budgeted more time for that. “

„We enjoyed our stay in the property. It was well equipped, had very comfortable beds, and was in a good location. Bachcare, the agent, were responsive, when required. The only negatives were the intermittent hot water in the shower (everywhere else the hot water was fine) and the very neglected garden area.“

„Tons of space and all amenities make this house a wonderful place to stay. A very pleasant rural spot with nice mountain outlook. Friendly and very helpful owner. The house is immaculate and has everything needed for stay of any duration. Oxford township (restaurants, bars & galleries) is close, as is the Waimakariri Gorge. All up a great stay. “

„We only stayed for a night and the cottage was good for us. There are lovely grounds and it is very peaceful and private. Everything was provided that we required for a short stay. Being able to bring our dog was a bonus. “

„Property was not as described in the desription. The house was relatively clean with clean sheets in the beds. We stayed for 5 nights as a family of 8 and it was roomy enough for the whole family. Th reqson for the poor score is a few. Dishes and kitchen utilities were not clean on arrival. The rubbish bins were also full and had not been collected until the day of departure. Also hot water was never enough for the family to have showers, hence could not use the dishwasher or washing machine ...

„Was a beautiful property that had lots of space and was well presented. We did a lot of back and forwards between places and it was a great location for our needs. “

„Simple, functional space in a quiet reserved farming area. The cottage had everything we needed, and it was just a short drive to Rangiora. David brought us fresh-baked bread, which was fantastic. We ran into some unexpected health issues and David was extraordinarily kind and helpful.“
