Featuring four spacious bedrooms, each equipped with a comfortable king-sized bed, Cape Hatteras Cottage can comfortably accommodate a large family or group of friends. The cottage also has three and a half bathrooms, providing ample space and convenience for all guests.

In addition to the private hot tub, Cape Hatteras Cottage offers access to a community pool. Exploring the OBX: Whether you're getting ready for a day of exploring the nearby attractions or winding down after a fun-filled day at the beach, you'll have all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Located near local attractions and places to eat, there is something for everyone while visiting the Outer Banks. Take a trip to the actual Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, which is one of the most iconic and well-known lighthouses in the United States! The lighthouse is open to visitors, and you can climb to the top to enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding area.

Beach Access: Just a quick drive or short walk from the house! Head south on Virginia Dare Trail until you reach East Dowitcher where you can park and safely cross Virginia Dare Trail at a Pedestrian crosswalk. Beach access is located at E. Small Street, which is just a few houses north.

Haven on the Banks is a total of six rental homes located in the heart of Nags Head. Each home has 4-bedrooms with access to the community's pool and easy beach access. Reserve one or even all six units (totaling 24 bedrooms!) for your next Outer Banks Vacation!

In the event of cancellation, no refund of monies paid will be made unless the Property is re-rented for the same price and time period of this original vacation rental agreement. If the Property is re-rented for a lesser price or time period, the original Tenant will receive a refund for the difference between the originally agreed upon rental amount and the rebooked rental amount as Owner is entitled to receive the full amount of the original rental agreement. Agent will make every effort to re-rent the Property at the full amount. Tenant acknowledges that Agent has full discretion on negotiating rental rates in an effort to get the Property re-rented and make the Owner whole, while also attempting to get the Tenant the highest refund possible.

Smith Family Vacation 2024
We came to Outer Banks for our 2024 family vacation with six adults and two teens. We always do midweek arrival so that often limits us to properties. This cottage came up on my first search and I continued to be drawn to it over and over during my search. It was everything we were looking for and it didn’t disappoint! We had access to a community pool and our own private hot tub. Beach access was 200 yards down the street, and was very easy walk if we wanted to come back and grab food or needed anything throughout the day. The property was in great shape and was just as cute as could be. We liked having the laundry on site and also a grill to cook a couple meals without going out. Also in close proximity to the Food Lion and Dollar Tree just a couple miles down the road. We also enjoyed the Blue Moon being across the street with live music and their nice outdoor lawn area. We would for sure stay here again and highly recommend this property!

Fantastic
From beginning to end, top to bottom, this vacation rental was amazing and easy. We all enjoyed how clean and up-to-date the house was. The walk to the beach was quick. The owners were great at communicating with us on how to check-in and check-out. The pool facilities were cleaned regularly. I have nothing but positive feedback about this place. This is definitely a 5 star place and we will return for future vacations with our family.

Cape Hatteras Unit 6 is perfectly located 1/4 mile from the beach and near the action in Nags Head. A new property that’s well appointed with a pool, hot tub, and gas grill onsite. A dining table for 6 is perfect for family-style meals and game night. We highly recommend the unit and would stay here again.

Property was perfect. Location is very near an uncrowded Beach and close proximity to all the OBX had to offer. My wife loved it so much she wanted to “live in this house forever”. House is exactly as advertised. 4 king bedrooms, private hot tub, outdoor swimming pool, nice open kitchen/living/dining areas. Excellent outdoor covered porch with views of pool and beach across the street. We will stay here again!

Wonderful Holiday Getaway in Nag's Head
My wife, college-age son and I spent an enjoyable Holiday week at the Cape Hatteras Cottage (which is part of the six-home resort Haven on the Banks). We particularly enjoyed its spacious and well-tended accommodations, well-stocked kitchen and location across from the beach. Given that we visited in December, we did not use the resort pool; however, we took full advantage of our private hot tub and grill located at ground level. The cottage is also very convenient to the Wright Brothers National Monument and the Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve (great for hiking) and just a short drive to the scenic town of Manteo and the Carrituck Lighthouse. Tara stopped by early in our visit just to say hello and was a great source of restaurant recommendations. We certainly would recommend Haven on the Banks to anyone who is considering traveling to the Outer Banks.

Wonderful stay
These houses and property are beautiful and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay at Haven on the Banks - and Tara was a wonderful host. Any issue we had (which were very minor) was taken care of quickly. Very close to the beach, and the pool was really nice. In addition, the beach was not crowded based on the location.

We booked a little later this year due to everything going on. Being that we were living in a unique time we as a group had a lot of questions. Tara was quick to respond and helpful. She put a positive energy on the times and was constantly mentioning that she hopes we had a great time. When we finally got to arrive for vacation Tara was in constant communication on when we can check in so that we could immediately start enjoying the house. The house was exactly how it was described and very modern. The beach was only 200 yards away and was easy even with carrying beach equipment for my two kids and myself. The beach itself was not very crowded and very spaced out due to the smaller public entrance. The location of the house was in a great spot. Close enough to some of my favorite attractions, but far away from the clutter of the touristy parts of town. This was great considering the times, but would be just as great when everything returns to normal. The concept of Haven on the Banks is great and my spouse and I even floated the idea of returning with family, or a reunion of some college friends. Overall I would recommend this to anyone that would be considering a house of this size. I would almost certainly return.
