Situated on the shores of Cameron Lake, the Lakehouse offers a rare inland-lake setting just seven minutes from Tobermory Village. Cameron Lake is especially unique on the Bruce Peninsula, known for its gradual sandy shoreline and firm lake bottom—an uncommon combination that makes swimming easy and enjoyable for all ages.
Roughly half of Cameron Lake’s shoreline remains undeveloped and protected as part of Bruce Peninsula National Park, creating a peaceful, natural environment with minimal boat traffic and abundant wildlife. The lake connects directly to Cyprus Lake, allowing guests to paddle by canoe or kayak straight into the national park and experience its pristine landscapes from the water. Motorized boats are not permitted, preserving the calm, clear conditions that define the lake.
Easy access to Bruce Peninsula National Park is available at the end of nearby Beach Road, where a network of hiking trails begins. From here, guests can explore forest paths, inland lakes, and scenic routes that lead all the way to Singing Sands Beach. These trails are well loved for their quiet beauty, birdlife, and connection to the peninsula’s unique ecosystems.
Despite the tranquil setting, the Lakehouse remains close to everything Tobermory has to offer. A short drive brings you to the harbour village with its shops, cafés, restaurants, and boat tours to Flowerpot Island and Fathom Five National Marine Park. This balance of seclusion and convenience makes Cameron Lake an ideal base for both relaxation and exploration.
The Lakehouse offers a rare opportunity to enjoy sandy swimming, direct national park access, and peaceful lake life—all within minutes of one of Ontario’s most iconic destinations.
