We had a great time and enjoyed our stay in Joel's apartment. It's a little quirky but extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped. A note for any elderly: there is a steep winding staircase up to the apartment and a second steep, winding staircase up to the second floor bedrooms.
The main door opens onto the living room with the sectional couch and off of that is the kitchen. Both are smaller to medium-sized but the kitchen is very nice with lots of plates, bowls, glassware, and good pots and pans. We were able to have a fun family dinner one night very easily. The bedrooms are nice sized and very comfortable (2 are immediately off the kitchen). The ones upstairs have sloped ceilings, a strange trapdoor to the downstairs, etc. but are equally comfortable.
Joel was extremely responsive, even to my stupid questions.
The neighborhood is quiet - not really walkable to much, but has quick access by car to all of the things you might want to see or do in Providence and there's ample parking - both in the side lot of the house and on the street.
Overall, it's a great apartment (again, very clean!!!) and we recommend it.
