~Mission Beach Vacation, King Bed!

This adorable 2 bedroom unit is located steps to the sand! Only a couple houses from the bay and a block from the ocean. Private patio with BBQ in back, plus it boasts a large, sunny, shared rooftop terrace with views of Mission Bay and summertime Sea World fireworks. We supply you with beach towels, beach chairs, and boogie boards for cruising the boardwalk! Dedicated parking spot. One bedroom has a King bed and the other a bunk bed with twin on top and full on bottom.

Janet & Scott are your hosts. We are a husband and wife team and we live nearby. We own and operate Mission Beach Villas, a highly rated vacation rental management business in San Diego.

We are available 7 am to 10 pm to answer questions during your stay.

Our storefront rental office, Mission Beach Villas, is only 3 minutes walking distance, so if you need anything feel free to stop by! If you have an early flight, you may stow your luggage at our office so you can go to lunch or hang out on the beach until check-in time. And if you have an afternoon flight on checkout day you may also stow luggage. Just coordinate these details with us and we are happy to accommodate.

Before your stay, we are happy to suggest our favorite restaurants, and tourist attractions and will help you get acquainted with the area.

The best thing about the neighborhood is there is so much within walking distance you may find you don't need a car. You could just take a taxi from the airport (6 miles away), get dropped off here and you're at the beach! We have local restaurants, trendy beach bars, excellent coffee spots, and breakfasts cafes all within a few short blocks. Sea World is just 3 miles away.

- The Heart of Mission Beach -
The location is on the south side of Santa Clara Place (the only traffic light in North Mission Beach). It is equally centered between Belmont Park (the roller coaster area) and Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach.

- Outdoor Activities -
Recreational opportunities abound! It is within walking distance to Santa Clara point where there are numerous recreation activities and rentals available including: stand up paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, windsurfing, catamarans, sail boats, water ski boats, and even jet packs. There are group classes and private lessons available in all of these activities. What's more there are free yoga classes on the beach each day at the end of our court.

There is a fantastic surf spot at the beach for beginner to advanced surfers and great for spectators as well. There are affordable surf lessons offered daily on the beach by our friends at Surfari Surf School. What's more, we can point you to all the best surf spots in San Diego County. And we have two world class board shapers who live on our court in case you want to get a new surf board while you are here.

We offer self-check in with a digital door lock to make your arrival as easy as possible.

There is a spacious rooftop patio that is shared between 4 units. (All are vacation rentals so feel free to mingle and make some new friends who are also our guests and fellow travelers.)

Guests also have access to the laundry machines which are shared with the other 3 other units.

Your parking spot is only meant for up to a mid sized SUV. A large SUV will fit only if you have good parking skills and park tightly to the building on one side to give you and the neighboring vehicle some door wiggle room and pull all the way forward.

This cozy apartment in Mission Beach is located just literally 20 steps away from the sand. The location really couldn't be better! It is positioned in the heart of Mission Beach, a gorgeous beach community in San Diego. Mission Beach is a super narrow strip of land between the Pacific Ocean and Mission Bay. Walk in either direction (West or East) and you'll encounter pristine white beaches. Both sides have wide boardwalks for bicycle riding or walking. On the bay-side you'll enjoy a relaxing sail bay with a calm atmosphere, while on the ocean-side you'll enjoy ocean waves for surfing and a lively beach scene. Either way, you'll call it paradise. We simply call it home!

It consists of two bedrooms. The main bedroom sleeps two with a King bed. The second bedroom sleeps up to three in bunk beds - a double bed on bottom and a twin size bed on top. The space is 580 square feet.

It has a fully supplied kitchen which offers a stove, refrigerator, microwave, and a coffee maker. We supply you with all the cooking pans, dishes, and utensils you might need. There are the usual kitchen gadgets such as can openers, bottle openers and cork screws.

The living room and king bedroom come complete with flat screen TVs. They are equipped with Roku which includes Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and many other channel options available with your login credentials. We also offer free WIFI and plenty of outlets to keep you plugged in.

The unit comes supplied with the basics you'd expect at any hotel like a hair dryer and iron. Plus you have a kitchen, living room and a patio to enjoy. We think of everything you might need and even stock you with beach towels so you don't need to pack those in your suitcase. Why stay at a hotel when you can stay in the comfort of your own home in a friendly neighborhood? Vacation like a local!

- No car needed -
If you choose not to bring a car you will be totally fine here! Many guests come without a car and get around quite easily! With the bay and the beach a mere 2-minute walk away and restaurants, shops, and convenience stores all within walking distance, a car is not really needed.

- Parking Provided -
For those who do bring a car we offer a reserved parking that will fit any midsized SUV. But you'll probably find that you'll park it once and forget about it because nearly everything you need is walking distance or easy to take Uber.

It is less than a 10-15 minute walk to Belmont Park where there is a giant roller coaster, rides, restaurants, bars, and shops.

- Bikes -
Riding bikes along the boardwalk is usually the most scenic way to get around and take in the atmosphere. We provide a 15% discount for bikes located at Cheap-Rentals located the end of the court. They rent by the hour, day, or the week. They also rent surfboards, wetsuits, standup paddle boards and a lot of other fun beach equipment.

- Bus -
There is also a bus stop a few yards away that travels down Mission Blvd and will take you to Old Town in minutes. At Old Town there is a major transportation hub where you can transfer to any other bus line or transfer to the Trolley (San Diego's metro line) which will take you downtown.


Due to insurance reasons, the person booking must be at least 25 years old to book and must upload a photo of government ID to the host within 24 hours of booking.

Please note that we have occupancy based pricing in our settings. Please select the correct number of people in your group at the time of booking to get the correct pricing for your stay. Keep in mind, if you add more people to your group after booking the rate may adjust slightly. There is an additional charge of $30 per night for each additional person after the initial 4 people. This keeps our rates low and affordable for our average group size for this listing and helps us charge an appropriate fee for the additional linens and utilities used by a larger group size. Thank you for understanding.

Please note, this home does not have central AC. In the summer months we supply a portable AC unit in the master bedroom for comfortable sleeping. Additionally each bedroom has a ceiling fan. And of course there's lots of windows that provide excellent cross ventilation from the sea breeze.

For guests with infants or toddlers, we can supply you with a pack and play and high chair upon request.

Please note, we no longer supply bikes with this rental. Should you want to rent bikes there is a bike rental shop located right at the end of the court, which under a block away, called Cheap Rentals. They also rent kid-sized bikes, baby seats. and bike trailers, not to mention surfboards, wetsuits and other beach gear. Just mention Mission Beach Villas and they will give you a 15% discount!

You have access to a coin operated washer/dryer that is shared by the other 3 units of the building. Tenant access time is daily after 3 pm or before 10 am.

We can connect you up with a service that will set up a private bonfire on the beach. Includes set up and take down, portable steel fire drum, roasting sticks, hot dogs, and s'mores. A perfect activity while waiting for the nightly summer Sea World fireworks over the bay. Inquire for details.

Want family pictures on the beach? What better backdrop for a group shot than the stunning backdrop of the ocean or bay at sunset! For an extra fee we can arrange for a local portrait photographer to do a photo session of your family on the beach. Let us know in advanced if you're interested and we can make an appointment with the photographer during your stay.

We love children and want you to know that they are more than welcome as our guests. This means that children of any age, even infants, are counted as guests in your guest count. Please let us know in advance the ages of all children.

The unit is thoroughly cleaned between each stay. However if you wish for a cleaning and change of linens during your stay we can arrange for the housekeeper to come for an additional charge of the standard cleaning fee. Please give us one day's notice so we can get this scheduled.

The security camera is located on the shared rooftop terrace. There are also numerous security cameras pointed at the alley by our neighbors.
