Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend!
I rarely write reviews, but after staying at this rental, I feel compelled to share my experience. Unfortunately, it was far from a pleasant one. A few of the problems my family faced are listed here.
On arrival, the door code provided did not function. I sent multiple emails and text messages to Dan (Property Owner), but received no answer. After around 30-45 minutes, I called VRBO for assistance with the situation. VRBO also attempted to contact the property owner, but there was no response. However, VRBO gave me with Dan's phone number. I tried contacting him, but it was a Google Voice number, which he did not answer. Later, I sent him SMS messages, which he eventually responded to. I sent him a video of the door code not functioning. He offered me the excuse that there was no housekeeping done, thus he would switch us to another place.
In this rental property, the heating system was a nightmare. The thermostat is on the first level, and the heating system will only turn on if the temperature drops below 68 F. It was particularly bad in the bedrooms on the second level, where we barely had heat. I asked Dan on the first night to reset the thermostat, but he didn't provide any help, leaving us shivering all night. Eventually, I purchased heater next day to keep my family warm for the next three nights.
In the living room, sofa arm and chair leg was broken. The bathroom sink on the first floor can barely drain.
Overall, the place needs serious maintenance and attention!
