Wake up each morning to a spectacular sunrise view of Bois Bubert Island at this sweet country home overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Here on the shores of Pigeon Hill Bay, enjoy a lovely back deck, two fireplaces, and wonderful access to a private beachfront, hiking trails, nature preserves, and the many coastal wonders of Downeast Maine.
This two-story home is located 45 miles up the coast from Ellsworth, the gateway to Acadia National Park. You'll be within a quarter-mile of the Steuben Public Boat Ramp and the Pigeon Hill Preserve Trailhead for quiet morning hikes with stunning views of Pigeon Hill Bay and Dyer Bay. A two-mile car or bike ride down Pigeon Hill Road will take you into Petit Manan Wildlife Refuge, a birder's paradise with a beautiful white sand beach and hiking trails though serene forest to cobble beaches. A well-stocked grocery store is also nearby, so you can load up on needed supplies or ingredients.
Maine is known for its lobsters and a boat tour of the area showcases why. If you're looking to get out and explore, head to Winter Harbor (21 miles west) to catch the Bar Harbor Ferry or take a scenic, 45-mile drive to Acadia for the day. Drive 50 miles to Lubec, home of Quoddy Head State Park, the easternmost point in the United States, and enjoy cliff trails overlooking Grand Manan Island, an ancient bog trail, and access to its iconic lighthouse.
Whether your plans involve kayaking, fishing, hiking, or sailing, the property's outdoor spaces provide a tranquil respite morning, afternoon, and evening. Sip your first cup of coffee watching lobster boats working or appreciate the gorgeous bay view from your own front porch. In fact, the porch serves as the perfect place to begin and end your day as you indulge in the picturesque sights. Light the gas grill for lunchtime barbecues and roast marshmallows around the firepit or on the private beach on starry summer nights.
The home's interior is warm and inviting, offering a light-filled living room with a wood-burning fireplace, a dining room with a beautiful view of the ocean, and an eat-in kitchen with a breakfast table. High-speed WiFi, a smart TV, and a private washer/dryer are on hand for your comfort as well.
Things to Know

The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.
