I wish the listing for this home would have mentioned this is a mobile home trailer on stilts located in a mobile home/RV park. It's pretty evident this home sustained hurricane/water damage and has been remodeled to some degree but still needs serious help. In the side bedroom there is a door that leads to no where that didn't shut or lock properly. It had been extremely rainy and windy before and during our stay, which lead to extreme dampness at this door and even some mold. In fact, upon entering the home, I was shocked at the overwhelming smell of mold/mildew. Honestly, if this wasn't Christmas week when all other properties are booked, I NEVER wouldve stayed here. We opened up all the windows and We also bought plug in air fresheners and bleach cleaner to clean up the mold, which did help with the smell. We were able to make it work for our week stay. Also, the beds in this side bedroom are basically cots. There is no headboard and they are extremely flimsy. The hot water heater needs updated/replaced. We were a family of four, and when taking showers to head out for the evening, every time we ran out of hot water. It also wouldve been nice to know about all the rules this park has. For example, only one vehicle can be parked at the trailer. You cannot walk your dog anywhere in the park. You have to go outside of the park, about a 10 min walk. For the price of this property, Ive stayed at nicer HOMES in the Keys and never wouldve paid this for a trailer
