„Overall the cottage stay was fine. It was clean. The bathroom could definitely use a makeover - everything worked and there was plenty of hot water but it’s old. No extra towels were provided. The kitchen was newly renovated but it’s tiny. There’s a tiny refrigerator and no oven. And there are very few utensils, just the bare minimum. We stayed for three nights and cooked or prepared all of our meals there. The location to the park is very good. And overall it’s a totally acceptable ...

„Great little place to stay in and around Acadia.“

„Listing says it’s walkable, but it’s probably a good 20 minute walk and it’s not ideal with kids because of traffic once you get into Acadia. It is a short drive to Jordan pond house though. Our mattress was from 2007 and we did not sleep good at all because of it. Not enough seats for 4 to relax in living room after a long day of hiking either. Very responsive host so that was a positive.“

„This was the perfect place to stay for our groups MDI marathon weekend. We were super close to the finish line in Southwest Harbor, which is more peaceful than Bar Harbor. Both BH and SWH have plenty of great restaurants and Bar Harbor is only a 15 minute beautiful drive. “

„My husband and I had a wonderful stay for our first anniversary. Bar Harbor is a beautiful town and this VRBO is located directly in the middle of it all. The location was perfect for walking to food, shops, the pier, and most importantly, the Island Explorer bus stops. Although a little pricey, it was tidy, warm and had everything we needed in the kitchen and extra bedding for snuggling up.“

„The property was located in a peaceful wooded area on the quiet side of Acadia. It was not far to the major attractions in Acadia and Bar Harbor. Comfortable, clean space. There really isn’t a kitchen - no stove or sink, but there is a microwave, coffee pot and you can wash dishes in bathroom sink. There is a fridge. It had everything we needed since we were not cooking - just reheating. Lots of information sent ahead by the owners. We really enjoyed our stay. “

„Our stay was great! The property is located in a great place for the views. The only negative thing you can say is that if you are only coming to Maine for the biggest attractions, then you have a 15-20 minutes of additional driving. Not a big deal cause the views are great on the drive as well.“

Even though we realized we were hitting the end of the fall foliage (while still incredible) and many businesses started to close up for the season, this didn’t stop us from coming! Communication process for check in a little rocky: didn't get electronic documents or check-in info until last minute; onsite housekeeper had changed. Pros: Owner worked hard to clear up communication confusion despite being away on vacation. “

„We had a nice stay in Bar Harbor. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location. The kitchen had everything we needed, though a few extras like wine glasses and some basic spices would have been a nice touch. The outside area wasn't quite as appealing as the inside, but overall, we enjoyed our stay.“

"Brandnew Hotel in Bar Harbor with all most modern amenities and thoroughly styled. We were staying for 3 nights with 2 standard king rooms booked on ground floor and got an upgrade to 3rd floor for a huge corner room for the parents and an adjacent big room for our kids. The breakfasts were awesome, not the usual hustle and bustle of a buffet, but a choice of either hearty or sweet breakfasts were served on porcelain at our table with cutlery and cloth serviettes, along with a choice of orange juice and coffees or teas and fruits. Also the afternoon tea and cookie hour was a very nice asset. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay between the year end's holidays."

"Die Zimmer sind veraltet und extrem ringhörig. Das Bett war extrem umbequem. Es gibt in der nähe kein Frühstücksangebot. Das Restaurant vom Hotel hat zwar ab 8 Uhr geöffnet es wird aber auch beim Frühstück die gleiche Karte wie beim Abendessen angeboten. Das Abendessen war gut jedoch schliesst das Restaurant bereits um 20 Uhr."

Location and service are ok, price too high

"Good central location, service is alright, rooms are clean and everything works. Furniture and interior are rather dated and only medium quality. Air condition works, but is very loud. Daily rate is significantly too high for the service and room you get. "
