BEDROOOMS
The Outlaw
Step into a Clint Eastwood movie as you go back in time to the beginning of the High Desert homestead era. With a king size 4 poster bed, private patio with sweeping views of the valley, and antiques and oil paintings from the last turn of the century, the Outlaw is one of Haven Ranch’s most popular spaces.
The outlaw adjoins the Vanity room and Spa Bathroom suite.
Narnia
What does Narnia have to do with the High Desert? Evidently, EVERYTHING! After the 10th person walked into the room and said, “This looks like Narnia!”, we knew we had the name. Narnia is a winter white wonderland with a queen size bed, deer-legged desk, hand-carved marble sculpture lamp and huge white on white relief painting. In our Joshua Tree version of Narnia, it’s “Always Christmas and never winter.”
Narnia has a private direct entrance to the Spa Bathroom suite.
Cactus Flower
Hues of cream and white embellish our cactus flower, creating a Joshua Tree dream room. The Bohemian California King canopy bed, natural decor and stunning views of Indian Cove Campground are just the beginning of its charm.
Cactus flower enjoys ensuite direct access to the gypsy rain bathroom
The Bunk House
2 log style bunk beds are the focal point in this Western favorite. With 2 twin beds and 2 full beds, it’s a ready-made slumber party.
All in all, there are 8 beds and 2 sofas (3 Kings, 1 Queen, 2 twins, 2 full, I king futon/sofa and 2 comfy couches).
LIVING AREAS
The Retreat
Set apart from the rest of the house, the Retreat is a quiet space to work, watch TV, or just relax by the fire.
The Room with No-Name
As a nod to the U2 song from the Joshua Tree album, the enormous family room is so much more. It is a game room, home theater, bar, billiards room and entertaining dream. With soaring beamed ceilings, a wall of glass and outside seating that looks across to the National Park and the iconic Indian Cove boulders, No-name usually becomes the room where everyone ends up sooner or later. And if you can’t “find what you’re looking for”, you will usually find it here!
Living Room Saloon
The Saloon has over-sized wet bar with enough stemware for a large gathering. The towering 13 foot Joshua tree portrait, concrete floors, suspended macrame love seat, and vintage free standing wood stove set the laid-back modern boho stage. Don’t get too cozy by the fire, or the “worlds most comfortable sofa” could lull you to sleep (which is inevitable after a big meal). The sofa can also sleep 2 people very comfortably.
The Canteen and Indoor Dining Room
The Canteen is a one-of-a kind- Joshua Tree extravaganza. Designed and created by a local artist to reflect the rustic chic Joshua Tree vibe, the kitchen is one of the first rooms guests see when they enter the home and it always gets a “WOW.”
The Canteen has a French Door fridge, glass top stove plus 2 burners (6 burners total), 2 microwaves, convection oven, air fryer, extra-large electric roasting pan, and a complete set of designer dinner ware, flatware and glassware to set a stunning table. There is a butler’s pantry leading to the family room with a much-admired collection of serving dishes. As Haven Rock is a very spacious home with many large areas for entertainment, we have provided the means to entertain larger group events like anniversaries or birthdays.
The Inside dining room is perfect for hot days or chilly late nights. The natural wood table can be set for up to 12 people.
Outside Dining
Although inside the Haven Tree Villa is a collection of beautifully unique spaces, nothing compares to what’s going on outside the Villa! The Sunset Dining Room is an experience like none other. Hand-painted oriental rugs suspended billowing ribbons of burlap and a huge custom created fire table that seats up to 16 people can’t compare to the breathtaking sunsets that can be enjoyed from the space. The Sunset Dining room boats views of Indian Cove, the snow-capped San Bernadino Mountains, and the entire Joshua Tree Valley. Add a massive iron chandelier, festive party lights and a real wood chiminea to the evening and it will be one to remember always.
Welcome to the Kasbah
Step into this Moroccan themed tent complete with lowered table, curved sofas and cushioned-filled seating areas. The tent is nestled between 2 large mulberry trees and sits in the lee of the villa which makes it one of the only wind-proof outside experiences in Joshua Tree. .The high skylights are perfect for star gazing at night, and the tent opens up to the large rock-rimmed camp fire with views of 49 Palms Oasis Canyon beyond. Enjoy the Kasbah from 9:00 am til 8:00 pm (quite time starts at 8:00 pm). For more lively dinner conversations please move on to the outdoor dining veranda or inside. The Kasbah is the “the family saver” for many as it allows Dad and the kids to commune with nature outside, while mom enjoys all of the luxury of the Villa and Spa.
Outdoor Spaces
4 outdoor fringed hammocks, outside tiled patio, pool deck and 12 foot bar complete the outside experience to the East of the villa. The large wading volley ball court and pool is open and heated between April 1st and November 1st. Pool hours are from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. The hotub is available all hours, but quite time is after 9:00 pm.
BATHROOMS
The Spa has 5 separate rooms: vanity and makeup counter, toilet room, shower room, double sink room and the Heavenly Tub room. The Heavenly room was designed by a mom, for moms. A private bathtub room, apart from the rest of the bathroom, ensures that the bather is not interrupted by kids (or adults) who “just gotta go.” The windows in Heavenly look out over the valley, but flowing curtains can be drawn for more privacy. Heavenly has a crystal chandelier and crystal candle holders, as well as wall sconce candles. As if this weren’t enough, this tub-only room also has a TV and DVD player with a collection of old movies! And while you watch your movie, soaking in the tub, overlooking the valley with candles all around you (even on the walls), the Villa has provided wine and chocolates to complete the experience (it’s not called Heavenly for nothing!).
Although The Outlaw and Narnia have direct access to The Spa, there is a separate entrance through the vanity room to allow everyone access.
The Gypsy Rain Bathroom
Gypsy rain is full bathroom with toilet, sink and shower/tub combo. It can be accessed from the main hall or from Cactus Flower. Liquor decanters turned into light fixtures and a rain-shower head give it its name.
Veranda and Hot Tub
The Northern Veranda houses the huge 9 person hot tub and hanging bed. As the Villa itself sits in a “dark Zone neighborhood”, night time lights in the distant valley to the north are even more spectacular.
