„Fabulous staff and lovely spa / pool with designated swimming times for children. On arrival you’d be forgiven for thinking the hotel looked a bit past its best from the outside and some communal areas are tired, but the reception / bar and restaurant are lovely, and we had a superior room above the spa which is clearly the more recent and refurbished section. „Great hotel very comfortable bed. All seems new and clean. Just 2 little things, the bathroom floor creaked so felt bad for my neighbors in the night and couldn't seem to turn the heating down in the bathroom, so it was very hot.“

They have done a wonderful job with the interior decoration, most fitting with the era of the building; and certainly adding to the 'olde-worlde' charm that it exudes. „Clean & tidy pub with excellent rooms. Large room with double bed and shower room. Good dining in large restaurant and excellent breakfast. Would recommend the food. Staff attentive and fairly polite. Only criticism and its small, is dont serve tea in vacuum jugs at breakfast. Had to ask for tea in a teapot, which duly arrived hot and fresh. Thank you for a wonderful night “
