„Came for the first time to Hatteras and had a great time. Went fishing one day and had blast catching Mahi, and Blackfin. It close to the marina which was a plus. The site manager was excellent at making recommendations as to things to see and places to eat. Overall great trip and will be back. “

„The only toilet facilities was a porta potty which smelled and looked like it had not been emptied in months. Shower did not have a way to lock the door of the only shower, to keep others out. We did not have cell phone reception because of the mountains and no way to contact the owner. No one was around to check us in.“

„We loved the serenity of this property! It was we got an opportunity to see the horses and was so quiet! The trailer had everything two horse moving adults can love!! The owners are amazing ! The horses ( 5 of them ) are well taken care of! We had an opportunity to see the horses brought in for the night and let out for the am❤️“

„The grounds were beautiful! The tents were spaced out, but not so far that they didn't give a community feel. My boys really enjoyed the river access. It was shallow and easy to get to. Everything was well maintained and the grounds were very clean! I definitely recommend this place. It was an awesome experience.“

„The kids and I stayed here 2 nights. It was great! We enjoyed the view of a thunderstorm with lightning rolling in the first night, without any water disrupting us in the tent. It was a relaxing sleep that a sound machine cannot duplicate. The beautiful purple and red sunset was positioned perfectly the second night and only affected by the clouds, truly a part of the smoky mountain experience and beyond anyone's control. We could see the Big Dipper clearly and there was no light pollution ...

There were some important truths missing from the listing at the time. Hopefully it has since been updated so others will know what they are in for & can make a more informed choice. „My husband and I had an amazing time! The area was beautiful! We literally had everything we could possibly need! We wanted a little getaway from our kiddos and it was perfect. We were able to relax, take a long hot bath under the stars and cook a nice steak dinner! We will most definitely be back!“
